KTM To Showcase New Bike Models At The Carole Nash International Motorcycle & Scooter Show 2009

11 November 2009

KTM TO SHOWCASE NEW BIKE MODELS AT THE CAROLE NASH INTERNATIONAL MOTORCYCLE & SCOOTER SHOW 2009

Leading bike manufacturer, KTM, is to add yet more kudos to an already impressive list of brands showcasing new and exclusive models at this years Carole Nash
International Motorcycle & Scooter Show, which runs from 27th November - 6th
December at the Birmingham, NEC. In addition to UK launches, KTM will also profile
their already impressive range of Street, Enduro and Motocross motorcycles at the
Show.

Continuing the success story of the Duke which was set in motion over 20 years ago in Austria, KTM will present Show visitors with the 690 Duke R, the most powerful single cylinder of all time. Weighing a mere 148kg and delivering an impressive 70bhp combined with a sleek chassis and high quality components, the 690 Duke R will be a definite crowd puller in Hall 1 where other leading bike manufacturers will be based.

The Carole Nash International Motorcycle & Scooter Show’s reputation as the country’s premier motorcycle show will also be bolstered by KTM’s decision to also present to the UK public, for the first time, the new KTM 350cc MX concept. The culmination of a unique project led by motocross World-Champion Stefan Everts, the KTM 350cc MX is geared to write a new chapter in the history of KTM’s success in off road motorsport and will also be a lead attraction for the 140,000 expected visitors at this year’s Show.

Keen to pander to the tastes of every motorcycle enthusiast, KTM will also bring the all new KTM 125 streetbike project to the NEC - a new sporty, high quality Naked Bike in the typical KTM design geared towards young riders.

Ross Walker, Marketing Co-ordinator at KTM-Sportmotorcycle UK, commented: "Our
principle at KTM is to give motorcycle enthusiasts the same technology and styles that are continually developed for factory riders. Given the Show’s prominence, it is only fitting that we took the decision to present our very latest on and off road products to the UK at the event and we look forward to receiving both the industry and public’s feedback”.

Finlay McAllan, Managing Director of MCI Exhibitions, added: “KTM are continuing their
rich heritage in pushing the boundaries of motorcycle innovation and we are delighted that the visitor experience will benefit from their decision to launch their latest product offering at the NEC in a few weeks”
