World's Fastest Production Bike Pulls Up At The Carole Nash International Motorcycle & Scooter Show 2009

11 November 2009

WORLD’S FASTEST PRODUCTION BIKE PULLS UP AT THE CAROLE NASH
INTERNATIONAL MOTORCYCLE & SCOOTER SHOW 2009

Fresh from hitting over 200mph on its first ever speed test, Allen Millyard’s 500bhp
Viper V10 is pulling over to make its first public appearance at the Carole Nash
International Motorcycle and Scooter Show which takes place at the Birmingham NEC
from the 27th November to 6th December.

The Viper V10 will be a lead attraction at the Show given the unique calibre of the bike. As the world’s fastest production motorcycle, it was hand-built over two years by the Berkshire-based mechanical engineer, Allen Millyard, who has created a beast sporting a mighty 8-litre Dodge Viper V10 engine, producing a fearsome 500bhp, 525ftlb of torque and up to 2G of force.

Millyard, who created the bike without drawings, computers or additional support, and has secured the Department of Transport Motorcycle Single Vehicle Approval, plans to break the world land speed record. He said: “The world land speed record for an unfaired motorcycle is 252mph on the Bonneville Salt Flats. We’re going to try and beat that next spring, in the UK, at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground.”

Millyard, added: “Appearing at the Carole Nash International Motorcycle Show will place the Viper firmly in the shop window. It’s the perfect Show for this bike to make its first appearance on the prestigious Carole Nash stand”.

Finlay McAllan, Managing Director of MCI Exhibitions, commented: “The Viper V10 will
not fail to turn heads at the Show! Allen Millyard has pushed the boundaries of bike
engineering and we’re delighted that the Carole Nash stage will showcase this truly unique machine before Allen attempts to beat the world land speed record for an unfaired motorcycle next year”.

The 2009 Carole Nash International Motorcycle and Scooter Show will offer an incredible selection of bikes, accessories and components with a range of truly interactive features, all of which will demonstrate to visitors of all ages what the industry has to offer. Those looking forward to Preview Day can take advantage of the £28 entry fee, which includes all the interactive features free of charge. For the remainder of the Show, adults looking to book in advance will once again receive savings on the on the door price.
