New CEO for MCIA announced

Tony Campbell is to become Chief Executive Officer of the Motorcycle Industry Association from September 2017.


Help spread the word about Get On events

All those working in the industry are being asked to help publicise Get On road show events, which are being delivered at events, dealerships and  multi-purpose test centres across the UK.


New appointees for MCIA Board and SMGs

Results are now in for the MCIA’s biennial elections.  Voting took place to appoint a Chair and Vice Chair for each Special Member Group (SMG) for the period April 2017 to March 2019 and one for the Off-Road Special Interest Group.

This years dates for 2017 Get On road show events have been announced.  

There are over 40 dates across the UK, with the next one due to be held in Erith, in the London Borough of Bexley on the 11th and 12th of March.  
 


'Far sighted' road safety day gives pupils the chance to try a car and motorcycle

Students in Northamptonshire begin a three day road safety event today, which includes the opportunity to ride a motorcycle and drive a car for the first time in their school grounds.


First UK customer to benefit from 'plug in' grant for e-motorcycles takes to the road today

The first electric motorcycle to be bought with the new ‘plug in’ subsidy will be on the road from today (March 1st).


MCIA reach final Brexit position

Following a Member consultation on the provisional MCIA Brexit position released in January, a ‘final’ version which has been developed with consideration given to the responses received and the latest Brexit developments.

MCIA establishes provisional Brexit position

Following three MCIA Brexit Special Member Group meetings, the Association has established a provisional position.  MCIA believes that if this is achieved, the Motorcycle sector in the UK would be in the best possible position in a post Brexit world. Before committing to this position publicly the MCIA is consulting with members.
