Motorcycle Live 2012

Motorcycle Live 2012 is once again gearing up to be a fantastic industry showcase of bikes, kit, entertainment, chances to ride and accessories. With a great line up of exhibitors already confirmed the show is now 70% sold with remaining space being sold pretty quickly.


Motorcycle Off-Road Experience - places snapped up!

Motorcycle Off-Road Experience event registration opened today, giving members of the public the chance to try off-road sport for free; and the response was overwhelming - 100 places went as soon as registration went live at 9am.

100 people given the chance to experience off-road riding

Members of the MCI are holding a ‘Motorcycle Off-Road Experience’ day for 100 members of the public on Saturday 15th September.  The event follows on from a Media Day, which will be held the day before, on 14th September.  Both will be held at the Enduroland venue in Adstone, Northampton.

Around 26,000 motorcycles are stolen in the UK each year.  Recognising the effect that theft has on the motorcycle community and industry, the Motorcycle Industry Association (MCI), has launched the first ever official and national security marking scheme, which will be introduced by major bike manufacturers. 


Launch of MCI MASTER Security Scheme

Recognising the effect that motorcycle crime is having on the motorcycle community, MCI launched an official security marking scheme called The MASTER Security Scheme which will be utilised by its motorcycle members.


Changes to Rules for Motorcycle Test Vehicles (MTV's)

The European Union Commission is to introduce new rules for motorcycles that can be used on test. They are due to come into effect at the end of 2013.


Motorcycle Off-Road Experience Day, 11th July, Postponed

The MCI Off-Road Experience day for members of the press that was due to take place on Wednesday 11th July has had to be cancelled due to excessive rainfall which has made the ground unfit for purpose.
