It’s a simple concept, which just involves you wearing a hat to work for the day on November 10th and paying a pound.
Ben is hoping this will alert those working in the automotive industry that they have access to free and confidential help regarding mental health problems.
Jools Tait, Business Development Director at Ben says taking part in Hats On 4 Mental Health Day will also give employers “the tools they need to support their staff, point them in the right direction if they need additional help, and understand the wide-reaching implications that mental health challenges can have on an individual.”
All funds raised from the day will support Ben’s free and confidential services.
You can get more details on these from the website www.ben.org.uk, and read a case study about someone helped by Ben here.
Downloads and a tool kit to help you take part in the Hats On event can be found at www.hatson4ben.co.uk.
MCIA staff will be taking part and photographs will follow!
