Christmas message to Members from MCIA
As 2017 draws to a close we can certainly reflect on what has been another interesting and challenging year for our industry. The market has experienced some turbulence across the year, made to look worse by the Euro 3 to Euro 4 distortion of new vehicle registrations. This was further influenced by a less than predictable economic situation and weak pound all adding to the mix.
Looking ahead to the New Year, we are confident the market will experience steady growth which has been the underlying trend during recent years albeit it will bring its challenges which you could say we are getting used to!
Here at the MCIA we will be pushing hard to encourage Government both national and local not to overlook the obvious benefits that Powered Two Wheels can offer within transport policy and we will further ensure our market is protected from legislation that could be damaging to business by a robust and credible lobby.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support during 2017 and if you are not a company we hear from on a regular basis, I urge you to take the time out to attend one of the Special Member Groups or Special Interest Group meetings where I am certain you and your company will take a lot of benefit from being present.
Finally, from the whole team here at the MCIA, we wish you the very best for Christmas and the New Year and look forward to seeing you in 2018.
PLEASE NOTE: The MCIA offices will be closed from Monday 24th December, reopening on Tuesday 2nd January. We look forward to working with you in 2018.
