Sponsors from the motorcycle industry wanted for health awareness campaign


BBC Scotland’s Adventure Show presenter Duncan McCallum is looking for sponsors for a venture that combines adventure motorcycling with encouraging early detection of cancer.

Using the drill drummed into motorcyclists during training – check left, check right – RIDE, as an analogy for self and partner checking, for breast and testicular lumps, Duncan hopes to raise awareness that early detection of lumps can be a life saver. His motorcycle journey will take him across four or five mountain ranges on three continents across the ‘lumpiest roughest roads possible’ and will be both a fund raising exercise and spark a PR campaign. The TV audience could be up to a possible 1.2 million viewers, though this could rise.  The project is in its early stage and Duncan is looking for sponsors within the motorcycle industry.
