400 people get the chance to try off-road riding for the first time

Another 400 people are to be given their first taste of off-road riding this June, courtesy of MCI members Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Suzuki and Yamaha.

Branded as the Motorcycle Off-Road Experience or MORE, the five manufacturers have pooled bikes, trainers and equipment and joined forces with off-road sporting bodies the AMCA, ACU and BSMA. They will repeat a four day 'try out' festival – a winning formula which they developed last year, where riders get expert instruction on the latest off-road bikes for either a morning or an afternoon session.
This will take place at Bevercotes in Nottinghamshire between Friday 20th and Monday 23rd June.

The cost, which is subsided in order to encourage new people to take up off-roading, is just £25. This will include bike hire, loan of protective clothing and instruction from top class trainers, who have all had national or international riding careers, including three times World Champion - Dave Thorpe.

Places are allocated on a first come first served basis, via an online booking system through the websitewww.rideoffroad.co.uk, which is managed by the MCI’s Contact Centre.*

News of this year’s event was enthusiastically received via MORE’s facebook page, where one of last year’s riders, Mark Lowson, shared the news with the statement:
“Did this last year. Fantastic day for all abilities. Best £25 you'll ever spend.”
