The MCI is looking for golfers to join a team of 4 for a fundraising event in July.
The Kawasaki Golf Classic 2014 will take place at the Reading Golf Club in Emmer Green, Reading on Wednesday 16th July from 1.30pm.
Kawasaki was inspired to organise this, in response to hearing that Mark Hucklebridge, a former top-level motocross rider and industry figure, wanted to raise money for the cancer charity ‘Forever Friends Appeal’. Mark was diagnosed with inoperable cancer in January, having beaten it previously.
As the entry cost for a team (£350) has been paid by the MCI, members who would like to take part are asked to make a donation of their choice to the charity. The four highest bids will secure places on the MCI team.
Membership Manager Sandra Cole explained:
“Mark is a long time friend of Kawasaki and the event promises to be a really friendly affair for a fantastic cause.
“We know we’ve got lots of members who enjoy a game of golf, and if you’d like to join the MCI team you just need to contact our new Membership Services Administrator Polly Fenn with a suggested donation.
“It’s also possible to bring social guests along for £15 a head, which will include a bacon sandwich on arrival and a post-match buffet.”
If you’d like to join the MCI team please contact Polly Fenn with a suggested donation by Monday 2 June.
Alternatively, there are still some spaces to submit a full team. Please contact Richard Metcalfe at Kawasaki - RMetcalfe@kawasaki.co.uk
