LATEST TWEETS

A change allowing motorcycle learners to take their A2 motorcycle test on a smaller bike will now be introduced fromApril 10th 2014.
The Driving and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) announced the new date today, having postponed its introduction - originally scheduled for January of this year.
This will allow learners taking an A2 licence (for medium sized motorcycles) to do their test on a less powerful motorcycle than is currently allowed.  The minimum test size for this licence category is currently 25kW, but this will be reduced to 20kW from next month.
An A2 licence is for bikes up to 35kW and can be taken by anyone aged 19 or over.
Further changes to start in 2019
Further changes are expected to come into force at the end of 2018; increasing the size of minimum testing vehicles for category A tests from 40kW to 50kW.
