Funding towards electric bike manufacture in West Midlands

Funding of up to £30,000 is available to companies working towards the manufacture of electric motorcycles in the West Midlands.

The Electric and Intelligent Vehicles project is offering grants to SMEs looking to access expertise relating to the manufacture of electric motorcycles or any component relating to their production. The grants will cover 40% of the expense of consultation fees for external advice, up to a total value of £30,000 on fees of £75,000.  It is available to both those who need support to help diversify into new markets as well as SMEs already involved. This programme of funding has been developed in order to spread knowledge within manufacturing in the West Midlands for new and emerging technologies and although the companies accessing the funding must be West Midlands based, the expertise they buy in can be from anywhere in the world.
