The company is offering monthly ‘lessons’ to staff from industry experts under the umbrella ‘Bennetts Bike School’. Those taking part in lessons include seasoned bikers looking for industry updates as well as motorcycle novices working for Bennetts and the wider group BGL. Last month, the academic curriculum was supplemented with some ‘practical’ experience, when the Get On team provided 29 members of staff at BGL with the chance to try motorcycling for the first time, ahead of the industry’s Ride to Work Day on June 17th. Ducati’s UK Managing Director, Tim Maccabee was also a recent guest and visits from Triumph, Honda, Michelin and Norton are scheduled for the coming ‘term’. In keeping with the educational theme, Bennetts says it also has ‘extra-curriculum activities’ lined up for staff this summer, when its recently signed Ambassador Charley Boorman will be hosting ‘An Evening with...’ If you would like to introduce your non biking staff to the joys of two wheels – contact the MCI to hear about Get On visits to your place of work and if you feel your staff would benefit from an induction into the motorcycle industry, contact Sandra Cole, with regard to new MCI Induction Days, which will be formally announced soon.
