Industry insight shared by MCI members

LATEST TWEETS

The latest round of Special Member Group meetings (SMGs) took place this week, at the MCI’s headquarters in Coventry.   SMG are grouped by sector interest, and allow members working in the same area to share knowledge and identify threats and opportunities every quarter.   This week, members were kept up to date with future developments in European legislation regarding motorcycle clothing, and how UK financial legislation will affect their businesses.  They were also updated with the latest news from the MASTER Security Scheme and soon-to-be-launched phase three of Get On.   “Members who engage with our special member groups gain a 360 degree view of the motorcycle industry and are much better able to plan their businesses accordingly,” explained Sandra Cole, Membership Manager, “they are also very relaxed occasions and a good opportunity to meet other people in the industry."   Anyone wishing to find out how membership might benefit their businesses and to hear what special deals are available to members regarding Motorcycle Live space should contact Sandra to arrange an informal chat:  s.cole@mcia.co.uk   SMG groups include:
  • Manufacturers (importers and manufacturers of motorcycles)
  • Components and Accessories (suppliers and manufacturers of clothing and parts)
  • Service Providers (e.g. insurers, financiers )
  • Off-Road (anyone with an interest in off-road sport or motorcycles)
