MCI asks members to let the press office know about local congestion stories

The London Standard printed a letter this week sent by the MCI, highlighting some core messages around motorcycling.

The letter was sent in response to a story which appeared in Friday’s paper criticising the congestion charge.  This allowed the MCI to reproduce research publicised by ACEM, which showed how replacing 25% of cars with motorcycles would eliminate congestion altogether.
The letter followed a similar format to the one used last year for the Bradford Telegraph and Argus sent by the MCI after a member alerted the Association to a congestion story in the Bradford papers.
This format can be repeated very quickly, where appropriate, if members let the MCI press office know about congestion stories in their local media.
