MCI backs safer roads campaign for Scotland

MCI is supporting Road Safety Scotland in its campaign to encourage bikers to stay safe on the roads this summer.   The campaign, which runs until September, is part of the broader ‘Don’t Risk It’ programme, which encourages the riders and drivers of all vehicles to improve their road skills.   A user-friendly website for motorcyclists features a quiz for riders to test their road sense and legal knowledge as well as videos addressing the five main reasons why motorcyclists get into difficulty, which include negotiating bends and overtaking.   There is also additional information under ‘biking resources’, which sets out training pathways, plus a section dedicated to people touring Scotland.  This has a particularly useful link toVisit Scotland’s accommodation database, which can be searched for biker friendly hotels and B & Bs.   For more information see the website
