Introducing the MCIA Board of Directors

The MCIA Board is responsible for the strategic direction, financial health and governance of the Association.

Manufacturing and importing members registering over 1.5% of the UK market are automatically entitled to a place on the Board.

Directors are also elected by members to represent the needs of other membership categories: Manufacturers and Importers  registering less than 1.5% of the market, Service Providers and Accessory and Component Suppliers.  An Independent Director ensures a representational balance is maintained.

Working on the retail side for the Country’s largest Motorcycle Dealer Group at Director level, he then decided in 2004 that he wanted to a work for a major manufacturer and subsequently joined the Piaggio in August of that year. With the Group now comprising of 6 major brands including Aprilia, Moto Guzzi and Vespa, Tony sees his position as one of the most envied but challenging roles in the industry today. On a personal level, Tony is married, has 4 children (all girls) and therefore away from work and riding bikes he is still at “full throttle” as the family keeps his spare time to a bare minimum.
