The company joins a growing number of top brands which include BMW, Ducati, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Triumph, Yamaha and Zero Electric Motorcycles, who have all committed to fitting the MASTER security marking system to their new models during 2013.
Theft is a major concern to motorcyclists and the industry alike, with around 26,000 motorcycles stolen each year - the majority of which are less than three years old.
The MASTER Scheme uses award winning technology from Datatag, which gives each machine its own unique ‘DNA’. It is the first ever official and national scheme of its kind in the UK and has been developed with Home Office backing in conjunction with the Metropolitan Police force.
The MCI and Datatag are currently in talks with other major brands, so watch this space!
